Nanchang Metro Line 1 Qiushui Square Station Cultural Wall——Hongcheng Egret
Located along the Gan River, Qiushui Square Station is a landmark themed station of Nanchang Metro Line 1. Inspired by the poetic culture of Nanchang, the 44-meter-long, 2.7-meter-high glass mural themed Egret of Hongcheng showcases the local wetland ecology and urban humanistic charm of Jiangxi Province.
We undertook hand-painted rock color finishing, deep processing of multi-layer laminated tempered glass, modular segmentation, seamless on-site assembly and backlight system installation for this oversized art wall. Adopting an original domestic multi-layer embossed laminated glass craftsmanship, we sealed hand-painted wetland and egret patterns between multi-layer safety glass panels. Optical refraction creates dynamic virtual-real changing visual effects, matched with a dual intelligent backlight system to restore the poetic waterside artistic atmosphere. All glass panels are explosion-proof, moisture-proof and fade-proof, perfectly adapting to high-flow underground subway operating environments. Precise modular splicing ensures the integrity of the ultra-long mural, complying with rail transit fire and public safety standards. This innovative glass art project has become a benchmark case of urban public space decorative engineering.
