Ordinary glass fails when one part heats faster than another. A hot centre and a cool edge create stress that annealed glass cannot release, and the crack starts at the coldest point. Tempering builds a balanced stress pattern into the pane so it can ride out the difference between a hot face and a cold frame.

How hot the glass gets, how often, and how fast it cools all change the thickness you need. Tell us the peak temperature and the cycle and we will match the pane to the duty rather than defaulting to a standard gauge.

Sheets are separated with cork or EPE pads and packed in fumigation free plywood cases suitable for long sea freight, so edges arrive clean and unmarked.

Mixed sizes and thicknesses can be loaded together in one 20ft container to reduce freight cost. Delivery is about 15 to 20 days after deposit is received, and we ship to your nominated port with packing lists and shipping documents for customs clearance.
